Senior Accountant, Irving Texas

Our Irving, TX client is seeking a Senior Accountant on a contract to possible hire basis. Experience with Epicor 9 is highly preferred.

Duties:

Prepares balance sheets, profit and loss statements and other financial reports.

Responsibilities also include analyzing trends, costs, revenues, financial commitments and obligations incurred to predict future revenues and expenses.

Reports organization's finances to management and offers suggestions about resource utilization, tax strategies and assumptions underlying budget forecasts.

Requirements:

Requires a Bachelor's degree in area of specialty and 4-6 years of experience in the field or in a related area.

Familiar with a variety of the field's concepts, practices and procedures.

Experience with Epicor 9 accounting software a plus.

Relies on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals.

Performs a variety of complicated tasks.

May lead and direct the work of others.

A wide degree of creativity and latitude is expected.

Typically reports to a manager or head of a unit/department. Good attitude, high energy with attention to detail.

Company is in the process of making a transition in accounting software, going from Axapta to Epicor 9. Experience in accounting software conversion is a plus.
