File Clerk - HR Department, Irving Texas

Our Irving, TX client is seeking a contract File Clerk in their HR department for a one month assignment. There is potential for this to turn into a long term position.

Duties:

Add new material to file records, and create new records as necessary.
Answer questions about records and files.
Eliminate outdated or unnecessary materials, destroying them or transferring them to inactive storage according to file maintenance guidelines and/or legal
requirements.

Enter document identification codes into systems in order to determine locations of documents to be retrieved.
Modify and improve filing systems, for

Perform periodic inspections of materials or files in order to ensure correct placement, legibility, and proper condition.
Scan or read incoming materials in order to determine how and where they should be classified or filed.
Sort information according to guidelines such as content, purpose, user criteria, or chronological, alphabetical, or numerical
order.
Gather materials to be filed from departments and employees.
Perform general office duties such as typing, operating office machines, and sorting mail.
Other duties as assigned.

Requirements:

-Previous filing experience in an HR department is highly preferred

-Must be extremely detail oriented

-Must have an excellent attitude and great interpersonal skills

-Reliable

-Previous experience in filing

-Proficient with basic MS Office programs
