Chief Financial Officer 2004 – 2010
• Promoted to Chief Financial Officer in 2004 and managed an accounting staff of two.
• Managed monthly closings including preparation of journal entries, posting, interfacing modules into General Ledger, and preparation of financial statements. Closing included but was not limited to preparation of all schedules, balancing subsidiaries into Balance Sheet accounts and analysis of variances.
• Handled the daily cash operations of the business, reporting to the President on a daily basis the cash position of the business.
• Prepared yearly cash flow and budgets for this $5M yearly multi-company international operation.
• Took a results-orientated leadership approach, responsible for all financial, legal and contractual transactions. Successfully brought the CPA and legal functions in house for over $100K savings per year.
• Served as the organization’s legal representative and chief negotiator - responsible for contract negotiations, review and drafting of legal contracts. Interface with outside legal counsel when necessary.
• Evaluated existing hardware/software in the Company and suggested changes and radical upgrades. Hired an IT consultant to implement the changes successfully.
• Increased overall personnel productivity by recommending and implementing the usage of tools like Excel spreadsheets for revenue tracking and job costing. Designed systems for operational reporting.
• Served as the chief strategist directly responsible for organizational survival during economic downturns.
• Collaborated with the Executive team and founding Board member to improve comfort level with group strategizing and decision making.

Controller 1998 – 2004
• Served as the Controller with hands on responsibility for A/R, A/P, Payroll, cash flow and reporting.
• Developed a job costing system, providing detailed profitability analysis by job and contract.
• Designed and created a Cash Flow report in Excel with worksheets designed for monthly / quarterly / yearly reporting based on management needs, resulting in crucial, detailed information being available and accurate.
• Processed semi-monthly payroll, from timesheets through check printing. Duties included payment of payroll taxes through EETPS, quarterly reconciliation of payroll taxes and filing of W2’s.
• Verified accuracy of 1099 forms to independent vendors. Balanced files, printed forms, and filed the documents with the government.
