WORK EXPERIENCE
Embedded System Hardware Test Intern, TableTop Media, Dallas, Texas August 2008 – Current
• Involve in testing and debugging of system level serial communication interfaces such as I2C, SPI, USB and UART.
• Debug and troubleshoot chipset interfaces such as Wi-Fi, LPDDR/POP memories, LED driver, printer stepper motor driver, LDOs, voltage level translator, audio codec, Class D audio amplifier, touch screen controller, RTC, MSR, JTAG debug board.
• Proven expertise in design and verification of schematic and PCB layout.
• JTAG ARM11 OMAP 2430/OMAP 3530 boards using Digital Spectrum’s JTAG emulators and TI’s CC Studio v3.3.
GRADUATE PROJECTS
Two stage broad band amplifiers for optical receivers (AWR) Spring 2009
• Utilized low noise Ku-K band GaAs MESFET transistor. Analyzed circuit stability in the frequency range of 0.1 to 18 GHz.
• Utilized equivalent circuit for the transistor as given in datasheet to simulate the receiver.
• Achieved specifications such as maximum insertion gain of 15 dB at 3 dB cut off frequency 1.2 GHz.
• Carried out AC-DC analysis, gain analysis, matching network analysis, and return loss analysis.
Simplified IEEE 802.11a/g Orthogonal Frequency Division Multiplexing (OFDM) simulation (MATLAB) Spring 2008
• Simulated an OFDM transmitter and receiver under AWGN and multipath channel models using QPSK signals.
• Compared the receiver performance under noisy and noiseless channels using BER and average BER respectively as the metric.
Operational Trans-conductance Amplifier (Cadence’s Virtuoso) Fall 2008
• Simulated operational trans-conductance amplifier with differential input and single ended output. Designed current mirror, current reference and biasing circuit. Executed budgeting of current, output swing voltage, voltage gain, and slew rate of MOSFETs.
