National Career Fairs held a career fair in Plano today and it was, by far, the worst career fair I have attended to date. Of the 17 companies who were supposed to attend, several didn't attend, nor did they make arrangements to have anything but an empty table. There were several companies who were looking for students not employees, and several looking for customers. I'm feeling guilty today, had an interview with Sherrie at Frontline and have missed 3 interviews with her. First my car got sick, then I forgot, and then the temp agency interview at 9 yesterday morning. It was a whirlwind of interviews. Had my resume revamped and in 2 days have 3 interviews. They're all for next week, but they're interviews and with any luck, I'll be working again soon. Saw the comment from Frontline - I have an interview downtown with Sherry on Monday. So far, I can't seem to find any new posts about jobs or the current unemployment situation here in Dallas or anywhere for that matter. I see lots of posts from December but not much from the last few days. I would have thought that the networking features would be more up to date. Of course this block looks to be relatively new in comparison to other networking sites.
